Another interesting match in the World Cup Qualifiers for Asia. Myanmar face Oman at home in a match that seems easy for Oman but it`s not. Oman is now in 107 place in World ranking and 13 in Continental Ranking. In FIFA 2010 Qualifying Round they`ve stoped in Third Round group stage. On the other side Myanmar is on the 167 place in World ranking and just 33 in Continental ranking. In FIFA 2010 Qualifying Round they`ve been knock out in first round. This seems an easy game for Oman under the new coach Le Guen. In round 1, Oman beat Myanmar for 2 goals in Muscat, Oman.Oman were the only Gulf nation to miss out on qualification for the 2011 Asian Cup, on the back of their failure to reach the final round of 2010 World Cup qualifiers in Asia. It’s been a disappointing period for the Sambas of the Gulf, but it has also prompted the appointment of well-known Frenchman Paul Le Guen as coach.

It’s easy to forget Oman actually won the 2009 Gulf Cup of Nations under previous French boss Claude Le Roy, so the potential is there. Le Guen’s Oman have been preparing for their tie against Myanmar with a conditioning camp in Lebanon, where they beat the hosts 1-0 and drew 1-1 with Kuwait and Syria.

“It’s not so much an aim or target, as a dream: we want to give everything we’ve got and qualify for the Fifa World Cup.”

- Paul Le Guen
