HM and Prince Alwaleed attend grand opening of Royal Opera House, Muscat

HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud, Chairman of Kingdom Holding Company visited the Sultanate of Oman on Wednesday 12th October 2011. Prince Alwaleed met with His Majesty Sultan Qaboos andHH Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy PMand attended the Grand Opening Ceremony of the Royal Opera House of Muscat.
HRH was accompanied by Mr. Salim Al Hindi, President of Rotana Audio,Dr.Nahla Alanbar, Private Executive Assistant to HRH the Chairman and Ms. Hassna Alturki, Executive Manager,Travel and External Affairs Department.
Upon the Prince’s arrival to Muscat International Airport, he was greeted by HE Mohammed al Zubair, Advisor to HM the Sultan for Economic Planning, HE Sheikh Abdulmalik Al Kalili, Minister of Tourism, HE Sheikh Dr. Abdul Malik Al Hinai, Minister of Economic Affairs and HE Mr. Abdulaziz Al Turki, Saudi Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman.
During the Prince’s meeting with His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, HRH and His Majesty discussed a number of issues and ways to further strengthen economic relations between their respective countries. Also on the agenda discussions were investment issues. The meeting was attended by the Deputy PM,HH Haitham Tariq Al Said, Minister of Culture and Heritageand Mr. Salem Al Hindi.
Prince Alwaleed commented: “We commend Oman for its solid and continuous economic and social progression under HM Sultan Qaboos leadership.”
The Grand Opening of the Royal of Royal Opera House of Muscat was attended by royalty, VIPs, dignitaries and members of the media.
The Prince’s investments in Oman through KHC is in the financial sector through Citigroup and the hospitality sector through Four Seasons Resort Oman, Fairmont, The Wave, Muscat and Movenpick Resort and Spa, Salalah.
